Worsham Farms, owned
and operated by Clint, Clay and Will Worsham, is located two miles
east of Many, Louisiana, in the west central part of the state. Our
farm has been in the family since 1836, when it was homesteaded by our
great great grandfather. We run about 75 cows and replacement heifers. |
Using extensive A.I.
and E.T. since starting to breed Simmental in 1988, we were the first
black and solid color program in Louisiana, making us one of, if not
the oldest breeder of black Simmental in the South. It is our
goal to breed superior, sound and functional cattle with longevity,
while also keeping eye appeal in mind. We select for moderate cattle
with females that milk adequately and are easy fleshing.
We strive to produce cattle that work in the commercial market, but
our cattle also work well in the show ring as 4-H and open heifers and
bulls. Our heifers and bulls have shown in all major shows from the KC
Royal to Houston, grand champion and division champions.
We invite you to visit our farm and hope to see y'all at future sales
and events! |
